It is a Block head quarter. Saraiya Pin code is 843126 and postal head office is Saraiya Factory. Saraiya is surrounded by Vaishali Block towards South , Patedhi Belsar Block towards East , Paroo Block towards west , Maker Block towards west . Lalganj , Lalganj , Motipur , Kanti are the nearby Cities to Saraiya. This Place is in the border of the Muzaffarpur District and Vaishali District. Vaishali District Patedhi Belsar is East towards this place. Maithili is the Local Language here.

Muzaffarpur district has potential for agriculture in estimated area of only 2, 66,342 ha (83.86% total geographical area). The total irrigated area of the district from different sources is 81,234 ha (25.58% of TGA) (Table-1). Dug wells are main source of irrigation. Important crops of the district include rice, wheat, maize, oilseed, vegetables and fruit crops. There are scope to improve productivity through introduction of technology like hybrid rice, maize and vegetables. Introduction of soil and conservation measures like rainwater harvesting/land management / drainage strategies can create employment and income generating opportunities followed by round the year crop and vegetable cultivation. Small Dairy Farmer
Mr. Barjesh Ranjan is aged about 35 years’ young and energetic rural youth residing at Ibrahimpur village of Muzaffarpur District. Initially his family was suffering from crisis and hardly get education up to intermediate. In 2006 he has taken training on Artificial Insemination from regional demonstrations and training centre of NDRI at Siliguri . After getting the training of Artificial Insemination he has becomes interested toward the dairy farming. Meanwhile he came in contact with the Scientist of KVK, Saraiya, Muzaffarpur and was advised to attended a training on dairy farming. He has ubsequently started dairy farming with one desi cow and one heifer. Gradually he become interested to increase the number of cow and now having 55 animals including 35 cows and 25 their followers. He was recognized by different agency like Best milk producer award by TIMUL, Sudha,Muzaffarpur 2008, recognition award through ATMA,Muzaffarpur ( Documentary film) in the year 2010.
